Is EY the Best Employer in Poland in 2025?

Every spring Polish media publish rankings of the country’s “best employers,” drawing from surveys conducted by research partners like Forbes/Statista, Universum, and Randstad. These rankings are built on anonymous feedback from thousands of workers across 25 industry sectors, who evaluate their own employers and other companies on factors such as pay, leadership, and career prospects.

In 2025, survey respondents, per a Magazyn Rekruter report, highlighted that the most admired employers foster flexible working, a good work‑life balance, attention to mental health and well‑being, empathetic leadership, and strong investments in digital skills and innovation. Thus, any company hoping to top the lists must offer more than high wages — it must provide meaningful careers and an inclusive workplace.

EY’s Footprint And Promise To Employees

Ernst & Young (EY) is one of the “Big 4” professional‑services firms and has operated in Poland since 1990. According to its profile on the Kariera w Finansach portal, EY employed more than 7,000 people in Poland and invested 229,242 hours in employee training last year. The firm notes that it was ranked no. 1 in the student‑run Pracodawca Roku (Employer of the Year) ranking, an accolade reflecting strong appeal among future graduates.

To attract and retain talent, EY offers a menu of benefits: employees can join sports teams or take running classes, receive cinema and theatre tickets, learn foreign languages, and earn digital certifications through the EY Badges program. Flexible working hours and locations, private medical packages, and access to more than 3,000 online courses also contribute to employees’ professional development and well‑being.

EY emphasises diversity and ethical conduct. It is a signatory to Poland’s Diversity Charter and runs programmes that support people with disabilities. A 2024 press release noted that EY has repeatedly been recognised as “Employer of the Year®” by AIESEC and was also a laureate in the Great Place to Work and Ideal Employer rankings by Universum. This suggests that within its sector, EY has cultivated an employer brand built on professional growth, inclusiveness, and social responsibility.

Student Perception: AIESEC’s Employer of The Year

One of EY’s strongest endorsements comes from the Employer of the Year® competition organised by AIESEC, one of Poland’s largest student organisations. The most recent edition notes that students prioritize salary, a friendly workplace atmosphere, career development opportunities, and work‑life balance, and lists EY alongside Google and Kaufland (a leading retailer in Poland) as the top three employers. Because this ranking is conducted independently by students, it reveals how younger generations perceive EY: as a stable employer offering attractive salaries and clear career paths.

How EY Fares in National Employer Rankings

When looking at broader cross‑industry rankings, however, EY does not dominate the top positions. The Forbes/Statista survey of Poland’s best employers for 2025 — based on over 400 thousand employer evaluations — placed consumer brands at the top. Adidas, Intel, and Hilton occupied the podium and the remaining top‑10 included Microsoft, Google, Decathlon, Deichmann, Nike, Samsung, and CD Project. EY did not appear among these ten, suggesting that its strengths are more pronounced within the consulting/advisory sector than in the overall labour market.

Another popular benchmark is the Randstad Employer Brand Research 2025. This study asks over 4,600 Polish workers which company they would like to work for, considering financial health, job security, and career prospects. The 2025 winners included Allegro, LG Energy Solution Wrocław, Volvo Poland, Fujitsu Technology Solutions, TZMO Group, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland, Eco-Windows, PGE Polish Energy Group, Saint-Gobain Group in Poland, and KGHM Polska Miedź. Again, EY did not crack the top ten. The report notes that respondents valued the financial condition and reputation of these companies as well as development opportunities and work‑life balance — attributes that EY also promotes, but not as convincingly as the winners.

Historical surveys show similar patterns. In a 2018 Bankier.pl ranking of the most desirable employers, EY ranked second in the consulting category behind Deloitte. In the latest 2024 Universum Global survey of Polish students, EY came in 8th and 6th in the Business and Law category respectively.

This indicates that while EY has long been near the top of its sector, it has not consistently outranked rivals such as Deloitte. The Forbes/Statista and Randstad results for 2025 show that the Polish public tends to favour consumer‑technology, retail, and manufacturing companies over advisory firms.

Balanced Verdict: Strong Within Its Niche but Not Poland’s Undisputed Leader

So, is EY the best employer in Poland? The evidence suggests a nuanced picture. EY invests heavily in its people — through training, flexibility, and wellness benefits — and has earned strong recognition in student rankings. Its diversity programs, ethical focus, and career-building opportunities keep it attractive to graduates and professionals aiming for long-term growth.

Yet cross-industry surveys in 2025 highlight other names — Adidas, Intel, Allegro, and tech giants like Google — winning broader admiration. EY’s absence from Forbes and Randstad’s top-10 lists, alongside a history of trailing Deloitte in consulting polls, shows the challenge it faces.

In short, EY stands as one of Poland’s strongest employers within professional services, but not the outright best nationwide. Its task continues to be to build on purpose-driven work, digital transformation, and employee-focused policies to move from respected sector leader to top-ranked employer across Poland.
