Is Google the Best Employer in Poland in 2025?

According to students in Poland, Google is one of the most desirable employers in Poland. In survey after survey, Google comes out on top as the most attractive employer in Poland. Tech giant Google dominates its industry category and ranks above all other companies in cross-industry talent rankings consistently appearing on lists of the best employers in Poland.

For instance, the latest 2024 Universum Global survey of Polish students saw Google rated the #1 ideal employer across multiple fields of study (Business, Humanities, IT) — a clean sweep that no other company comes close to. This continues a multi-year trend. 

Back in 2021 and 2022, Google was already “clearly Poland’s best employer” in Universum’s student survey, outranking both local champions and other multinationals that also compete for recognition among the top employers in Poland. 

The question for 2025 is not so much whether Google is the top employer — the data suggests it is — but why Google holds such appeal in Poland’s job market, and what it’s doing to stay on top.

The Reign of Google in Poland’s Best Employer Rankings

Multiple benchmarks confirm Google’s preeminence up until this year. We reported earlier in May that Forbes Polska’s “Best Employers” list (compiled with Statista) crowned Microsoft the top employer in IT/telecom in 2025, ahead of Google and CD Projekt, thanks to high marks in image, work conditions, and development opportunities. 

That shift shows how competitive the market is for those aiming to be counted among the best companies to work for in Poland. 

As Magazyn Rekruter put it, “Students clearly have an appetite for Tech, or Big Tech,” and Google still leads the pack. The survey concluded that Poland’s best employer is clearly Google, with Microsoft, Polskie Linie Lotnicze LOT, NBP Narodowy Bank Polski, and Deloitte trailing behind on lists of the best employers in Poland.

Why Polish Talent Loves Google

What makes Google so attractive to Polish job-seekers, especially new graduates? Several factors consistently emerge.

For starters, Google’s prestige and brand power. Google’s global reputation as an innovative company makes it a dream employer, where Polish students see the chance to work on products that impact billions. Saying “I work at Google” signals you’re among the best of the best.

Second is career development and learning. “For years, Polish students have ranked the most attractive employer brand attributes as: attractive salaries (1); career development opportunities  (2); and professional training and development (5),” notes Anna Macnar, Managing Partner of Universum Poland. Google delivers with training, mentorship, global mobility, and its famous “20% time” policy established by Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page — which allows employees to pursue side projects. Many ex-Googlers move on to startups or into leadership roles, reinforcing its image as a talent academy.

Compensation and benefits also affect sentiment. While exact figures aren’t public, Google pays competitively in Poland and provides healthcare, parental leave, and share options. In Universum’s 2023 survey, “attractive salary” was the #1 attribute students sought, and Google checks that box.

Google’s Footprint in Poland

Google’s appeal as one of the best employers in Poland is strengthened by its expanding presence, starting with a Warsaw office in 2005 and growing to include Kraków and Wrocław, with over 2,000 employees as of 2025.

This year, Google signed a memorandum with the Polish Development Fund at the Google for Startups Campus in the Praga Koneser Center in Warsaw — where Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai met with Prime Minister Donald Tusk — to invest billions of dollars in the country’s digital future, focusing on AI, cloud services, energy, and cybersecurity, while dedicating $5 million over the next five years to digital skills training programs aimed at reaching 1 million young Poles.

The Best Employers in Poland 

Is Google the standout best employer, or does it have serious competition in Poland? The landscape is certainly competitive, though Google maintains an edge. 

In Universum’s recent student surveys, Microsoft often ranks #2 just after Google in IT and business categories. The tech giant also has large R&D centers in Warsaw and Poznań. Intel, Apple, IBM, Samsung, and local video game champion CD Projekt are also highly regarded, often appearing in comparisons of the best employers in Poland. 

And in the broader business realm, companies like Deloitte, EY, PwC (the Big 4 consulting firms) or PKO Bank Polski, and ING Bank Slaski (top banks) attract graduates seeking structured training — reminding job-seekers that there are multiple paths into the top employers in Poland depending on career goals.

Yet Google’s consistent first-place finishes suggest it outshines peers on most counts. Even engineering students, who might prefer industrial firms, rank Google at or near the top. 

Google — Poland’s Employer of Choice

From all the evidence available, Google is the best employer in Poland in 2025 by popularity and reputation. It checks all the boxes that Polish employees — especially the new generations Z and X — are looking for: high pay, career growth, exciting work, and supportive culture. As Magazyn Rekruter noted, tech companies lead the way and “offer the best employee experience,” with Google at the forefront. Its dominance in surveys like Universum’s is so pronounced that one could argue Google is to Poland’s employer rankings what it is to internet search — the clear #1.

Of course, in the best employers in Poland, “best” can be subjective. Some might argue that smaller companies or startups offer opportunities that Google cannot, such as faster advancement or a closer-knit environment. Yet in aggregate perception, Google is the gold standard. Until another employer finds a way to offer a combination of prestige, innovation, and rewards on par with Google, it’s likely to retain its throne. 

And for Poland as a country, having Google invest and hire so extensively is a boon — it helps stem brain drain by providing world-class jobs locally. No wonder, then, that in 2025 the chorus of “Google is the best employer” in Poland rings louder than ever.
